About Madelene

My determination in trying to help people with their health started when I got sick. I have always been health conscious and have treated daily exercise and healthy eating as my health insurance. But it wasn’t until the balance with food, exercise and stress got out of hand when my body was showing signs of distress. After many years of trying to figure out what was wrong and trying to self medicate when doctors couldn’t find anything, I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. From being active, social and healthy to a barely functional individual with poor memory that needed 12 hours sleep was eye-opener. I was put on medication but was having a hard time with finding the right dosage, issues with side-effects and the symptoms of the disease. It was then and there I decided to dive deep into the world of foundational holistic nutrition. I wanted to figure out the core of my problem and not treating my symptoms with medications. I took my nutritional therapy consultant certificate and together with my MA in Psychology I started to apply everything I knew about biochemistry, nutrition and mental health on myself.

Your health is in your hands, we are daily bombarded with choices that affects our health both negative and positive, it is not always easy to know what choices to make. I have always worked to help people to feel better, mostly focusing on the psychological health but now I know how much the nutrition in combination with our biochemical differences play into our physical and psychological health. My goal is to help and to educate individuals to become their best self and to overcome health issues they might be struggling with. Restore to core is about addressing the problem and to build your health, from the core.
